StoryTeller Turns 10 Years Old

StoryTeller Turns 10 Years Old

Happy birthday, StoryTeller! Wow, where did the years go? Seems like just the other day you were born and now look at you. 10-years old. I swear, I remember when you were a baby - that cute little public relations agency and video production company down in the basement of our suburban Minneapolis home! You had such a hard time figuring out who you were going to be, which isn't surprising since your name was StoryTeller Productions at birth! And yet you were always so determined. Yes, those were precious times!

Reflecting on a decade with StoryTeller Media + Communications

In the beginning you needed me to wake you up in the morning, put you to bed at night and basically get you from day to day. You sure have been a lot of work and now, look at you, you're all grown up. Oh sure, you still need guidance and direction, but I find myself more and more sitting back and watching you do what you do. At times you've been frustrating, scary and unpredictable (like that stretch back in 2008, you nut!) and yet the incredible joy that you've delivered is immeasurable.

In 10-years you've taught me, and your mother, a lot as well. You've taught us about public relations, video production, social media and introduced us to the incredible world of content marketing and then inbound marketing. We've introduced you to lots of new people, all who played a huge big part in helping you grow. I know you remember them all, even those who were with you for a short time. We sure are grateful for them, aren't we?

In many ways, we've grown up together. I haven't always made the right or best decisions and you've let me know. You've taught me about people, business and adapting to situations both good and not so good. It's not all been rosy and at times it's been downright painful, and like life, no one said raising you would be easy. Thanks for reminding me of that!

What's next for you, StoryTeller? What can you teach us that will help us change lives for the better? What will you show us that will help us inspire those around us? How will you guide us and respond to the challenges that we encounter together? The first part of your story has been wonderfully exciting with all sorts of interesting plot twists, highs and lows. You've introduced us to so many people and so many stories, I can hardly wait to see what the next decade brings us.
