StoryTeller's New Start

When we close the door for the final time, turn in our keys and head to our new office space in St. Louis Park at the end of the month, a new era for StoryTeller Media + Communications will begin. I don’t believe any of our employees or clients will miss our humble office space in Bloomington – yet, we leave a better company than the day we came in 2007.

The truth is, I won’t miss the building.

I won’t miss my neighbors on the 4th floor, and I won’t miss the restaurants that seemed to turn over every year or two. And yet, this “starter” building was the best place for StoryTeller to incubate and become what it is today.

In this modest and quiet building, a company was born.

StoryTeller took its first big steps forward – at times we tripped, stumbled and fell down. We got back up, dusted ourselves off and kept marching forward with the hope of someday becoming "all grown up". Perhaps StoryTeller's most exhilarating (and challenging) years were the awkward pre-teen years when we tried desperately to fill out a larger suite in our building while trying to re-define ourselves. Like most adolescents, we too had to work through an identity crisis. As we tried to figure out who we were going to be, we pushed forward in an exciting and unsettling time in marketing.

Today, we leave with a strong sense of identity and a clearer focus than at any other time in company history. We are ready for the next step and for all that comes with it. Our new space will be like our first house. We look forward to entertaining clients and hosting events in this trendy building that was once home to a Nestle factory. Located just south of West End in St. Louis Park, we will be minutes from downtown both by car and by bike.

And while the address will change, our commitment to challenge the status quo will remain the same.

We will continue to create real stories and information that inspire action and hopefully, expand our network of friends that we can support through our work. Yep, these are exciting days for StoryTeller and yet also a time to remember all of the lessons and growing pains that helped us to reach this point.
